Throughout his lifetime Jim was an avid fisherman, meticulous wood worker, loved riding his Harley Davidson and enjoyed anything geography and history related. A well-traveled man, Jim had been to all of the continental United States and loved to reminisce about his fond memories of his travels. Surviving are a sister, Annamarie Vagnoni, Millville; and several nieces and nephews.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren and supporting them in all their activities. She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband, Michael Marcinko, on Sept. 15, 2013; and two brothers, Joseph and Anthony Vagnoni. Preceding her in death, were her husband Robert L. Novatnak; great-grandson Brandon Novatnak; brothers John, Albert, Thomas, Joseph, William and Richard Palko. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Wednesday, November 30th from 9 to 11am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, Shenandoah. Burial will immediately follow in the Annunciation BVM Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Preceding her in death were her husband of 71 years, John P. Cleary, in 2015; a son, John R. Cleary, in 2011; two brothers, Joseph Gauntlett, in 2004, and John Gauntlett, in childhood. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren Anndrea Hodson, Katelyn Borrell, Megan Meyer and Shane Meyer, 4 great grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.

He was a symbol of a man who loves his family and his country. Shawn was the brightest light in every room, with a contagious laugh that will forever ring in the ears of his loved ones. To say that Shawn loved baseball is an understatement. He played Little League, Teener league, high school and Legion baseball.He then continued as a Little League Umpire for the Ashland and Minersville leagues. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Hometown Nursing Home, and Dr. and Mrs. Mark Lobitz and staff for their excellent care of their mother and grandmother. Family and friends are coming together online to create a special keepsake.

A former member of Mahoning Valley Country Club and Valley Country Club, John enjoyed playing golf, and a friendly game of poker. He most enjoyed celebrating the lives of his grandchildren, visiting his family in Maryland and time spent with his many friends he made over the years. Sonia Sachuck, 84, of Kelayres, passed away Sunday at her home. Born in McAdoo, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Sachuck. Sonia was a member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, McAdoo, where she was enthusiastically involved with the parish food sales and activities. Prior to retiring, she was employed at McAdoo Manufacturing.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife of 16 years, Krista Smyrl; daughter Crystal Smyrl of Swoyersville; and aunts, uncles and cousins survive. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bob’s Memory are asked to be made to St. Jude's Children’s Hospital. Beege was also a lifetime member of the Shenandoah Heights Fire Company. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping, and above all he loved spending time at his paradise, "The Land".

Her hobbies included sewing and multiple craft projects. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. Until the start of the services Saturday at the funeral home.

Diane was a graduate of the North Schuylkill High School, class of 1970, and the Ashland State General Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1972, attaining her degree as a License Practical Nurse. Diane was a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Parish, Ashland. She loved spending time with her family, taking special pride being with her grandchildren.

John Michael Smyrl, “Tank”, 59, of Audenried, passed away suddenly Monday morning at his home. Born in Charlotte, N.C., he is the son of Barbara Smyrl, of McAdoo and the late Samuel Smyrl, IV. Mike was employed for Cicioni Radiator of Hazleton for over 30 years.

She was very active with the Republican Party and was currently serving as a Borough Councilwoman for the town of Shenandoah. She adored her dogs, Dixie, Dakota, and Caesar, along with her 4 feline friends. Born in Newtown on July 20, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Mae Gauntlett. She attended Reilly Township schools and worked in the garment industry. David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City is in charge of arrangements. Stephen is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Borrell, of Pottsville, and Melissa, wife of Vincent S. Meyer, of Pottsville.

He was preceded in death by his mother Connie and an infant daughter. He is survived by his wife of 53 years the former Juanita Mace, nephews and niece Thomas, Eric, David and Karen as well as cousins. Born in Coaldale, PA on September 15, 1954, David was a son of the late David C., Sr. and Margaret A. Burrell. A 1972 graduate of Tamaqua High School, he attended and graduated from Ryder Tech in Allentown, PA. He retired from Air Products in Hometown, PA where he was employed as an electrician. David was a member of the Lansford Park Commission and St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tamaqua where he was currently serving on Council and previously served on the Property Committee.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Thomas’ memory to the Parish of Ss. Cyril and Methodius would be appreciated by the family. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Reilly Township. Dutcavich Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tamaqua. Preceding him in death, were his wife Eleanor Damiano; sisters Nancy Jelenewicz and Mary Costanzo; brothers Carmen, Ralph, Thomas, Maurice and Joseph Damiano. After returning home from the service, he attended mortuary school. John became a licensed funeral director in 1951 and established the Damiano Funeral Home in McAdoo. After serving families for many years, John retired in 2013. He was also employed at the Schuylkill County Courthouse for years and served as a former Deputy Coroner of Schuylkill County.
